🔎 About the Role:
Element Technologies is hiring a Java Backend Developer for an exciting long-term project based in Omaha, NE. We’re looking for a strong backend engineer who is passionate about building scalable APIs, microservices, and enterprise-grade applications. Only local Nebraska candidates will be considered.
✅ Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain backend systems using Java, Spring Boot, and RESTful APIs.
- Design and implement microservices architecture and database integration.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship high-quality features.
- Participate in code reviews, unit testing, and performance tuning.
- Work in an Agile environment to deliver sprint-based goals.
🛠️ Required Skills:
- 5+ years of experience as a Java Backend Developer.
- Strong expertise in Java 8+, Spring Boot, and JPA/Hibernate.
- Experience with REST APIs, microservices, and SQL/NoSQL databases.
- Knowledge of CI/CD tools, Git, and Agile methodologies.
- Excellent debugging and problem-solving skills.
⭐ Nice to Have:
- Experience with cloud platforms like AWS or Azure.
- Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes.
- Familiarity with frontend frameworks is a plus.
