🔍 About the Role:

We’re seeking a skilled and experienced Data Engineer to join our fast-paced team on a remote, contract basis. You’ll be responsible for building scalable data models, reliable pipelines, and ensuring end-to-end data quality and governance. If you have a passion for transforming complex data into actionable insights, we want to hear from you.

✅ Key Responsibilities:

• Architect and maintain robust, scalable data models that support business intelligence and analytics growth.
• Define and enforce best practices for data quality, integrity, and metric consistency.
• Partner with stakeholders across Product, Engineering, and Analytics to define KPIs/OKRs and deliver insights.
• Lead the development and optimization of ETL/ELT pipelines, driving performance and reliability.
• Integrate and operationalize new data sources with high attention to data governance and security.
• Champion compliance with data privacy and security standards.

🧠 Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related technical field
• 5+ years of experience in data engineering or related roles
• Strong proficiency in SQL, with a focus on performance tuning and scalable modeling
• Programming experience with Python or R
• Hands-on expertise with Snowflake
• Experience with modern data orchestration tools like Airflow, dbt, Prefect, or Dagster
• Knowledge of Apache Spark or other distributed processing tools
• Familiarity with real-time streaming ETL frameworks (e.g., Apache Flink)
• Experience with BI tools like Tableau, Looker, or Power BI
• Strong ownership mindset and attention to data reliability & governance
