Job Summary
The Senior Data Analyst – Quality HEDIS will be instrumental in driving quality improvement initiatives through detailed analysis and insights from HEDIS and STAR data. Collaborating across teams, this role supports value-based care models, enhances quality metrics, and contributes to NCQA accreditation efforts.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze HEDIS and STAR data to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities for quality improvement.
- Support NCQA accreditation by ensuring accurate data submissions and regulatory compliance.
- Develop targeted improvement plans for key HEDIS measures to enhance outcomes and member satisfaction.
- Conduct data validation and audit preparation for HEDIS and STAR compliance.
- Leverage predictive analytics to forecast STAR rating outcomes and implement improvement strategies.
- Design and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using tools like Tableau and Salesforce.
- Develop and optimize data pipelines, ETL processes, and analytical solutions.
- Engage in hands-on development, including coding, scripting, and system configuration to address technical issues.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Public Health, Statistics, Data Science, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
- HEDIS and STAR Knowledge: Comprehensive understanding of HEDIS and STAR quality measures, NCQA accreditation requirements, and healthcare quality improvement practices.
- Proven expertise, with at least 4 years (6 years+ preferred) of hands-on experience in healthcare data analytics, including Tableau visualization and report building with the integration of in cloud technology and Salesforce reporting/dashboarding or native and CRMA functions
- Expertise in SQL, Python, or other relevant programming languages, demonstrating the ability to design and develop complex data solutions
- At least 4 years of experience working with claims, member, provider, and prescription data aspects of healthcare data.
- Ability to multi-task, shifting back and forth effectively between two or more activities or sources of information
