Java Microservices Developer with Azure Cloud Experience

📍 Location: Boston, MA (Onsite/Hybrid as applicable)
🕒 Duration: Long-Term Contract
💵 Rate: $48/hr (C2C)

🔍 Key Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and deploy event-driven microservices using Spring Boot, Kafka, and Azure-native services
Use Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) to run scalable containerized applications
Integrate microservices with Oracle databases for efficient data access
Leverage Azure Event Hub, Event Grid, and Redis Cache for real-time data and caching
Develop and secure RESTful APIs with a focus on portability and extensibility
Apply unit testing and BDD methodologies for reliability
Participate in deployment/change management and provide production support
Collaborate with QA, DevOps, and business teams for seamless delivery

✅ Required Qualifications:

5–8 years of Java / Spring Boot hands-on development experience
Strong experience with Kafka and microservices architecture
Proficient in Azure Cloud, including AKS, Event Hub, Redis Cache, and Event Grid
Expertise with Oracle DB and large-scale data systems
REST API design and implementation
CI/CD pipeline experience and production deployments
Knowledge of GitHub Copilot and unit testing frameworks

💼 Preferred Skills:

Experience in Financial Services domain (Required by client)
Familiar with DevOps, infrastructure as code, and monitoring tools
