Millennium is seeking a Software Engineer – Java Macro to join a new specialized team based in Miami, FL. This team will provide tactical research capabilities to the Fixed Income portfolio managers, working alongside trading, risk, and operations to develop and support analytics and data solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
- Rapid Prototyping: Collaborate with portfolio management and risk teams to quickly deliver tactical solutions.
- Multi-Asset Analytics: Partner with quants and risk managers globally to develop analytics, stress tests, and VaR calculations for the in-house risk platform.
- Data Automation: Automate data retrieval and create custom analytics integrating internal and market data sources.
- Data Visualization: Build visualizations and user interfaces for data trends and workflow customization.
- Project Collaboration: Work with project managers and senior leadership to define analytics requirements and manage project expectations.
- Continuous Improvement: Maintain, enhance, and expand the platform’s capabilities as new requirements arise.
Required Qualifications:
- Java Development: 3-5 years of experience with Java in a production environment.
- Cloud Experience: Familiarity with AWS, GCP, or other public cloud platforms.
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related scientific field.
- Independence & Agility: Ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced environment.
- Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills with an ownership mindset.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Real-Time Systems: Experience with event-driven and event-sourced systems, particularly in large-scale integration.
- Technology Familiarity: Proficiency in Kafka, IMDG, and data warehousing frameworks.
- Financial Market Knowledge: Familiarity with financial markets (rates, FX, credit, commodities, equities).
- Financial Mathematics/Modeling: Knowledge in financial math, modeling, or statistics.
- Front-End Exposure: Some experience with JavaScript/Angular front-end development.
