We are seeking an experienced and technically skilled Senior Data Engineer with a strong background in Databricks and Data Warehousing for a critical role in Pittsburgh, PA. 🧠 Key Responsibilities:
- Data Architecture Design:
Develop and enhance EDW architecture, including data models, data quality standards, integration, and migration strategies aligned with business needs. - Requirements Gathering:
Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather data requirements and translate KPIs into actionable EDW specifications. - ETL & Integration (Databricks):
Design and implement robust ETL pipelines using Databricks, transforming data from multiple source systems into a unified enterprise data warehouse. - Performance Tuning:
Monitor and fine-tune EDW performance to ensure fast query response times and optimal data accessibility. - Technical Leadership:
Guide cross-functional teams on data warehousing technologies, tools, and best practices. - Stakeholder Collaboration:
Work with data analysts, application developers, and business units to deliver high-impact, data-driven solutions.
✅ Must-Have Skills & Experience:
- 10+ years of overall IT experience with 10+ years as a Data Warehouse/Data Engineer
- Deep knowledge of data warehousing concepts, dimensional modeling, star schema, and Databricks frameworks
- Strong SQL and Databricks development skills
- Proven track record implementing Databricks in modernization projects
- Familiarity with ETL tools, data integration, and data quality standards
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Experience in technical leadership roles
