About the Role
Pharmacy Technicians in this closed-door mail order pharmacy help ensure patients receive their medications in a timely manner, working under the direct supervision of Team Leads and Pharmacy Supervisors. The schedule is Sunday 2:00 PM–12:25 AM and Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday 3:00 PM–1:25 AM, with an anticipated 40 hours per week. Key Responsibilities
- Manually fill or pack both refrigerated and ambient temperature medicines
- Fill medicines for automated machines and pack orders using automated packing machinery
- Support the shipping handler department, including manually metering packages and placing packages to be sorted for shipment
- Collaborate with a team under the direct supervision of Team Leads and Pharmacy Supervisors
Requirements
Required qualifications: apply for an Illinois Pharmacy Technician License; a verifiable high school diploma (or equivalent); the ability to stand for extended periods of time and to reach, twist, turn, bend, stoop, walk, and lift up to 40 pounds; be detail focused and task oriented; the ability to read and understand English; strong written and verbal communication skills; regular and predictable attendance, including mandatory overtime when needed; and pass the Pharmacy Technician Certification Exam by December 31st of your second Illinois Pharmacy Technician License renewal. Preferred qualifications: formal Pharmacy Technician training, Pharmacy Technician experience, and Certified Pharmacy Technician prior to 2024.

Pay: The typical pay range for this role is $17.00 – $31.30, as listed by CVS Health. This position is also eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission, or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay.
