Amazon is hiring a Software Development Engineer for Amazon Customer Service in Seattle, WA. You will build innovative services enabling Amazon Customer Service AI Guided-Workflow features, including global expansion and instrumentation and metrics for quality.
About the Role
The Software Development Engineer works on Amazon Customer Service in Seattle, WA, building innovative services that enable AI Guided-Workflow features. The role includes global expansion of these features and instrumentation and metrics for quality, leveraging Generative AI for issue understanding, automated resolutions, and guided workflows. You will collaborate with business partners and leadership and help shape the product vision and lead the design of robust systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with experienced cross-disciplinary Amazonians to conceive, design, and bring innovative products and services to market
- Design and build innovative technologies in a large distributed computing environment
- Design and code the right solutions from broadly defined problems
- Work in an agile environment, building high-quality software
- Participate in the on-call rotation
- Work with Scrum, test-driven development, and continuous deployment
Requirements
- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability, scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- 1+ years of experience designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded or distributed software applications, tools, systems, or services using C#, C++, Java, or Perl
- 1+ years of Object Oriented Design experience
- Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language
Preferred qualifications include: 3+ years of full software development life cycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations; and a Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent.
Salary & Benefits
Base salary range for Seattle: $143,700–$194,400 per year, plus sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs).
