Pharmacy Technician at CVS Health – Chicago, IL

CVS Health is hiring a part-time Pharmacy Technician for its store at 4466 N Broadway St in Chicago, Illinois (Job ID R1066542). This on-site Community Pharmacy Technician role is scheduled for an anticipated 20 hours per week.

About the Role

Pharmacy Technicians support the pharmacy team in delivering operational and service excellence in the store. They are often the first point of contact for patients and customers, helping to ensure prescriptions are filled promptly, safely and accurately while following CVS Health standard operating procedures at each pharmacy workstation — production, pick-up, drive-thru and drop-off.

Key Responsibilities

• Follow pharmacy workflow procedures at each workstation (production, pick-up, drive-thru and drop-off) for safe and accurate prescription fulfillment
• Assist patients at pick-up, drive-thru and over the phone, and keep patients healthy by offering immunizations and other services
• Complete basic inventory activities, such as putting away medication deliveries and completing cycle counts, returns-to-stock and waiting bin inventories
• Deliver additional patient health care services, such as immunizations and point-of-care testing, where allowable by law and supported by required training and certification

Requirements

Candidates must comply with state Board of Pharmacy requirements or laws governing the practice of pharmacy, including age, education and licensure/certification; where the state does not mandate a minimum, applicants must be at least 16 years of age and hold a high school diploma or equivalent (or be actively enrolled in high school or a high school equivalency program). Technicians must complete CVS Health’s rigorous training program and satisfy all registration, licensing and certification requirements. Preferred qualifications include 1–3 years of previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician and previous experience in a pharmacy, retail, medical or customer service setting. Salary & Benefits

Pay: The typical pay range for this role is $19.05 – $29.05 per hour. CVS Health notes that the actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education and geography.
