About the Role

Omnicare is a closed-door pharmacy that provides pharmacy services to long-term care facilities, and front-end pharmacy technicians handle order entry and customer service for those accounts. Front-end pharmacy technicians take calls from customers and connect the pharmacy’s wholesale operations with patients and facilities. Please note: following the sale of Omnicare, the person hired for this role will be employed by Omnicare and will not remain within CVS Health.

Key Responsibilities

• Handle front-end order entry for long-term care pharmacy customers
• Triage customer service requests
• Calculate and verify dosage based on prescriptions
• Assist in reviewing narcotic prescriptions for completeness
• Provide the dispensing pharmacist with information about allergies and drug interactions
• Create and maintain customer records

Requirements

Required: pharmacy technician certification, licensure or registration as required by state law; at least 1 year of experience as a pharmacy technician; and a high school diploma or GED.

Salary & Benefits
