About the Role
Guest Advocates are part of Target’s Service & Engagement team. They are advocates of guest experience who welcome, thank and exceed guest service expectations by focusing on guest interaction and recovery, making every guest feel valued.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome guests with a friendly interaction within 10 feet and a greeting within 4 feet
- Help guests find items and resolve their questions and issues on the spot
- Scan and bag items efficiently and accurately, following food safety standards
- Minimize guest wait time at checkout
- Promote Target Loyalty programs
- Support Order Pick-Up, Drive Up and returns
- Maintain a clean, clutter-free work area and stock supplies
Requirements
Target is looking for people who enjoy helping others and can work in a fast-moving, physically demanding team role, with a flexible schedule that includes nights, weekends and holidays. The role needs effective communication skills, a welcoming attitude, attention to detail, the ability to use handheld scanners and other technology, and the ability to work independently and with a team. You must be able to accurately handle checkout and cash office transactions, move merchandise up and down frequently, remain mobile for the duration of the shift, and work in varying temperatures.
Salary & Benefits
Pay: Starting hourly rate of $16.25 per hour.
