About the Role
Omnicare is a closed-door pharmacy that provides pharmacy services to long-term care facilities, and back-end pharmacy technicians support order fulfillment behind the scenes. Please note: following the sale of Omnicare, the person hired for this role will be employed by Omnicare and will not remain within CVS Health.
Key Responsibilities
- Fill and package prescriptions and support back-end order fulfillment for long-term care customers
- Review delivery orders and bins to verify accuracy
- Rotate through workstations including Packaging, Staging, Returns, Receiving, Narcotics, IV, Ekit, Compounding, Omnicell Cycle Fill and Machine Packaging
- Receive deliveries, stage products and rotate stock
- Coordinate with drivers on deliveries
- Take part in physical inventories
Requirements
Required: pharmacy technician certification, licensure or registration as required by state law; at least 1 year of experience as a pharmacy technician; and a high school diploma or GED. Preferred: long-term care pharmacy experience, PTCB certification, and 5 or more years of pharmacy technician experience.
